Black Stars forward Andre Ayew excelled for his side Fenerbahce as they beat Anderlecht 2-0 on Thursday night in the UEFA Europa League.

Fenerbahce who were home opened the scoring in the 19-minute mark through Mathieu Valbuena.

Three minutes later, the host killed the dream of Anderlecht coming back with the second goal.

Valbuena, the scorer, this time turned the assist provider as he capitalised on the defensive error of the visitors. He cooly passed to Michael Frey who slotted it home neatly.

The results send Fenerbahce to second as Dynamo Zagreb square off with Trnava later.
