BBC sports journalist David Ornstein says Swansea City forward Andre Ayew is set to join Crystal Palace on a season-long loan.
Ayew who is desperate to leave Swansea after the club was relegated will now be a replacement for Loftus-Cheek who went back to join his parent club Chelsea.
Crystal Palace had been linked with a move for last season’s top scorer at the Liberty Stadium all summer but that had appeared to collapse until the player went AWOL in order to force Swansea to listen to bids for him.
Ayew, 26, will depart alongside brother Andre Ayew, who completed a loan to Fenerbahce a few days ago.
Sources close to Ayew are saying he will leave the Liberty Stadium by the close of the transfer window on 9 August.
