Dagbon gets new Yaa Naa after 17 years of conflict

The Kingdom of Dagbon finally have a new Yaa Naa after seventeen years of conflict over who becomes the overload.

Today marked a historic day in the lives of the people of Dagbon as a new Yaa Naa was crowned in Yendi.

Dagbon has been in conflict for nearly two decades over who becomes the new Yaa Naa. The last overlord of Dagbon, Yaa-Naa Yakubu Andani II died in 2002.

President Akufo-Addo and other dignitaries were present in the Northern Region to witness this historic feat.
