Former Veep educates home constituency on party registration

The Former Vice President of Ghana, K.B Amissah-Arthur on Thursday 20 December explained to some branch executives in Moree in the Abura Asebu Kwamankese constituency of Central Region the processes that would be used in the registration exercise to be carried by his party.

He gave an explanation on the exercise during a gathering in His family home, where he donated some items towards the festive season.

He stated that the exercise, barring any hitches would start on the 2nd of January 2018. The former Veep added that, that would be after branch meetings have been held for sufficient education of the process at the local level.

According to him, that would ensure the avoidance of circumstances where unfriendly elements stealthily enter the rank and file of the party to sow seeds of division. The party, as he posited, faced such challenges during the last biometric registration exercise before the 2016 general elections.

He reassured party faithful presents that, despite rumors of divisions within the party; the Council of Elders of which he is a member has put down measures that have improved tremendously, the spirit of unity within the party.

Ex Vice President Amissah Arthur further urged the grassroots to work assiduously towards a 2020 victory which, he is convinced, is not beyond reach.

He however urged all and sundry to be moderate and cautious while enjoying the Christmas and New Year.

Some elders of the community later expressed their appreciation to H.E K.B Amissah-Arthur for giving them a fair share of the national cake while he was in office.

They mentioned the construction of gutters; the building of a new Secondary School; the provision of hospital beds; construction of a link-road from the main highway to Moree to be among the many things their son’s position gave them.

They asked for God’s blessings for his future endeavors through prayers and libation pouring.

The former Number two of the Republic later walked through some principal streets of Moree to greet the public with some party supporters.
