UEW re-opens to public

The University of Education Winneba has announced the re-opening of all its campuses that were temporarily closed down following a court order to restrain its Principal Officers from working until the final determination of a case brought before it by one Supi Kofi Kwayera.

Supi Kwayera had challenged the continues stay of the Council of the University of Education Winneba.

In order not to flout the court’s decision, the University decided to shut down on Tuesday, June 13, 2017, until the final decision of the court on Friday, June 16, 2017.

But a statement from University issued on Friday, June 16, 2017, and signed by its Registrar, C. Y. Akwaa-Mensah, announced the re-opening of its offices on all campuses (Winneba, Ajumako, Kumasi and Ashanti Mampong) for normal business.
